I forgot my PIN for RealPlayer's Private Mode. How can I reset it?

If you have forgotten or lost your Private mode PIN, you will have to reset it. The PIN is stored on your computer and can't be altered without access to your computer.

First, uninstall RealPlayer but keep your Library.

Windows XP
1. Click Start, click Control Panel, and then double-click Add or Remove Programs.
2. In the "Currently installed programs" dialog, select RealPlayer, and then click Change/Remove.
3. In the "Uninstallation of RealPlayer" dialog, confirm that My Library does NOT have a check mark.
4. Click OK, then click Yes.

Windows Vista, 7, and 8
1. Click the Start icon in the lower left corner of your screen, click Control Panel, click Programs, and then click Programs and Features.
2. In the "Programs and Features" dialog, click Uninstall.
3. In the "Uninstallation of RealPlayer" dialog, confirm that My Library does NOT have a check mark.
4. Click OK, then click Yes.

Then, reinstall RealPlayer
1. Go to www.real.com, click the RealPlayer Free Download button, and follow the prompts.
2. In RealPlayer, click the eye icon to enter Private Mode and set up your PIN.
